Sophie Pacini, piano
Since her concert debut at the age of just eight, the young German-Italian pianist Sophie Pacini has conquered the stages of the world's most prestigious concert halls. At the age of 19, she completed her concert exam at the Mozarteum Salzburg's Institute for Highly Gifted Students with distinction. Since then, she has been thrilling audiences with acclaimed piano recitals at renowned international piano festivals such as the Ruhr Piano Festival, the Rheingau Music Festival, and the Lucerne Festival. A very special project close to the heart of the Munich-born pianist is her own festival, “Nuancen,” which was launched in 2023 and takes place in Sophie's home town of Aying. Sophie Pacini performs with renowned orchestras such as the Gewandhaus Orchestra in Leipzig, the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, and the Munich Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Her outstanding achievements have been recognized with numerous awards, including the International Classical Music Award ‘ICMA’ in 2017 and the ECHO Klassik as “Young Artist of the Year” (piano) in 2015. Her albums “In Between” (2018), “Rimenbranza” (2020), and ‘Puzzle’ (2022) stormed straight into the top ten of the German classical charts. With “bittersweet” (2025), Sophie Pacini presents one of her most personal albums to date, continuing her string of successes.
Sophie Pacini has been committed to introducing classical music to children and young people for many years and wants to make classical music accessible to everyone, everywhere. She recently played at Bavaria's largest women's shelter—an engagement she hopes to expand throughout Germany in the future. She has a special friendship with the legendary Martha Argerich, with whom she regularly plays duo concerts.
