Janick Cech, Pianist
The 19-year-old pianist Janick Čech has established himself as one of the outstanding talents in the piano world over the past few years.
His participation in the "International Robert Schumann Competition" in Düsseldorf, where he won first prize in 2021, was a decisive impetus that launched his artistic career.
He continued his success a few weeks ago at the "International Volodymyr Krainev Competition - KHARHIV MEETS ZURICH," one of the most prestigious competitions for young pianists, where he once again won first prize.
Born in Munich, Janick received his first piano lessons from his father at the age of six. From the age of eleven, he also received private lessons from Masha Ilyashov.
From 2019 to 2022, he studied as a junior student at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts under Prof. Michael Schäfer. In addition to his studies, he received valuable input from renowned professors such as Claudio Martínez Mehner, Lev Natochenny, Antti Siirala, Michel Dalberto, and Ruben Dalibaltayan.
He is also a scholarship holder at the Liechtenstein International Music Academy and regularly participates in the intensive weeks held there.
Since October 2023, Janick has been studying at the Franz Liszt School of Music in Weimar with Prof. Michail Lifits.
