Anna Brunner - Violine

Born 1972 in Zurich/CH. Violin studies with her parents Elisabeth and Rudolf Weber-Erb and with Thomas Füri at the conservatories of Zurich and Basel. Graduated in 1992 with a teaching diploma and in 1995 with a concert diploma with distinction from the Basel Music Academy. Founder and primaria of the AMAR QUARTET since 1987. 1989-1995 participation in the chamber music ensemble Ars Amata Zurich. Anna Brunner has been musically influenced by world-famous musicians such as Isaac Stern, Walter Levin, Joseph Kalichstein, Paul Katz, Hatto Beyerle and the Alban Berg Quartet. She has four children, lives in Thun/BE and devotes herself full-time to the AMAR QUARTETT and chamber music. She regularly passes on her knowledge to young professional musicians at international master classes. As concertmaster of the Sinfonia Ensemble, she is intensively involved with silent films.

Photography has also fascinated her since her youth. She photographs people, situations, moods and landscapes on commission and in her free time.

Shaun Choo - Piano

Shaun Choo is a Singaporean pianist and composer. He received his first piano lessons at the age of 7. He received his "Piano Diploma" at the age of 14 and continued his music studies in Austria at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Shaun has won nine first prizes at over ten international piano competitions, including various Chopin competitions, the Artur Schnabel Piano Competition in Berlin and the Golden Tone Award in Vienna. In addition to his work as a pianist, Shaun composes and performs his works in his own recitals. Shaun also teaches, including at the Mozarteum International Summer Academy, Chun University in North Carolina and as an assistant lecturer at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Singapore.
