An evening that will introduce the audience not only to the composer, but first and foremost to Robert Schumann as a person. The music performed and the letters, articles and diary entries presented give the audience an insight into the composer's spiritual life. The journey begins in his youth and ends with his death.

Huijing Han and Ulrike Hübschmann each speak with their own unique artistic voice.

Huijing Han

3. At 12 she continued her education at the Conservatory Gymnasium, where she received a scholarship from the Shanghai Master Conservatory. Awarded various prizes such as the Tangs Foundation Hong Kong Prize, she moved to Germany in 2000 where she completed her studies at the Hanns Eisler Hochschule and the Universität der Künste in Berlin with excellent results. Since then she has performed as a soloist and in various chamber music formations.

In Europe and China. Since 2016, she has also taught as a piano lecturer at the UDK in Berlin. Huijing Han is also a mother of 2 children and lives in Berlin. We will hear her on 10.11.2022 together with the actress and speaker Ulrike Hübschmann with letters and music by Clara & Robert Schumann.

Ulrike Hübschmann

Ulrike Hübschmann is a German actress, radio play, audio book and voice actress.

After graduating from high school in Potsdam, she studied at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst "Ernst Busch" in Rostock and Berlin. This was followed by engagements at the Berliner Ensemble, the BAT Berlin, the Ernst Deutsch Theater Hamburg. She has also appeared in numerous films and series such as Tatort, Soko Kitzbühl, Liebe verjährt nicht, Soko Wismar and many others.

Since 2008, she has been involved in extensive voice-over work for audio books, exhibition guides and documentaries, as well as for literature and music events. We will hear her on 10.11.22 together with the pianist Huijing Han from letters and music by Robert & Clara Schumann.
