Kit Armstrong

Kit Armstrong was born in Los Angeles, California in 1992 and is an American pianist, composer and organist. Kit is one of the most talented young pianists of the 21st century. He made his concerto debut at the age of 8 and performed his first composition in public at 10. As a highly gifted student, he studied composition and physics as the youngest student ever admitted to Chapman University, and later added mathematics and biology. Kit Armstrong graduated with honours in music from the Royal Academy of London and won the Kissinger Piano Olympiad International Competition in 2006. Armstrong was also taught by Alfred Brendel from the age of 13.

Since 2013 he has performed as a soloist and with the most renowned orchestras in all the world's major concert halls. Since 2018 he has also been active as an organist. Kit will take us through 5 exciting centuries of piano music on 27.10.2022 with works from Byrd to Bach and Chopin to Takemitsu.
